Relapse Prevention at Rutgers University

June 24 through June 28, 2013 | Multi-day Event | Rutgers Summer Institute of Addiction Studies, Piscataway, NJ

This workshop will highlight the essential elements involved in developing a relapse prevention plan that recovering addicts and co-addicts can use as an independent study course or in their professional work with an addiction treatment provider.

The course is intended to demystify the relapse process and challenge the dangerous notion that “relapse is a part of recovery” by helping the students of the course understand the individualized strategies that can be employed to interrupt a relapse process before returning to one’s “drug of choice.”
