Not Just a Cheater: Understanding and Intervening on Sex Addiction

There is a need for mental health professionals trained to recognize and intervene on the ever-growing epidemic of sex addiction. The first of a two-part series, this workshop teaches mental health professionals to identify the disorder in clients, and introduces a family-systems, culturally competent model of intervention.

Participants can attend either part I or part II of this presentation without having to attend the other, or they can attend both. In this presentation all six LCCS treatment team members will be collaborating with NASW-NJ in their upcoming 2016 conference titled “A World of New Challenges and Opportunities for Social Work.

Just Stopping Isn’t Enough: Effective Treatment of Sex Addicts and Their Partners

12 million Americans suffer from sex addiction, and the need is growing for mental health professionals trained to help them. The second of a two-part series on sex addiction, this workshop introduces clinicians to two treatment models – one for relapse prevention, another for working with couples affected by the disorder.

Participants can attend either part I or part II of this presentation without having to attend the other, or they can attend both. Healing Romantic Relationships Shattered by Addiction

Since its publication in January of 2015, LCCS co-founders John and Elaine Leadem have been presenting their new couple’s training series titled Awakening to Your Soulmate: A Decision to be IN Love at both national and international conferences. On September 25, John and Elaine join the 2015 World Conference of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), titled “Be Strong” to speak on the topic of Healing Romantic Relationships Shattered by Addiction. In this workshop they will teach conference attendees how to utilize their 4 building blocks to romantic health.
