The authors have successfully used the multi-phasic intervention model with all addictive disorders since 1978.
Raising the Bottoms© is a unique blend of traditional Johnson intervention wisdom and a comprehensive series of task-oriented strategies that will guide the interventionist well beyond the traditional notion that successful interventions get the addict into treatment. RTB holds that a successful intervention gets help for everyone involved in the intervention who needs it and that treatment resources match the consumer’s needs.
The first step in becoming a Certified Raising the Bottoms Interventionist™ (CRTBI) is to complete a comprehensive two-day training program designed to provide a theoretical framework of the three-phase intervention model and hands-on opportunities to develop skills for practical application of the assessment and intervention tasks associated with the model The training will provide the candidate with a clear framework for raising the bottoms of the intervention team members, the addict and the treatment process as well as strategies for expanding the depth and market share of the services.
After completing the two-day training, candidates seeking certification will receive personal mentoring to prepare for their first RTB Intervention as a required part of their certification process at no additional cost.
