However, interest in the service by first time clients led to our decision to open the service to individuals who would prefer the confidentially and convenience it offers.

Online Counseling Individual Email Response

This Online Counseling Service is designed to respond to a single question that is both brief and narrow in focus.

Incoming Question:

I have been experiencing a great deal of difficulty responding to my spouse when she is disappointed with me. I get frightened and generally pick a fight to shift the focus. What would you suggest that I do to avoid the fight as it almost immediately ends all communication and leads to a "cold war" that goes on for days.

If your wife's disappointment in you is related to some failure on your part to be responsible, you might spend some time really listening to her disappointment. In doing so you might understand her points and acknowledge that you will need to look at her input on your own or with a third party to avoid defending yourself and fueling your discomfort, which is likely to give rise to greater anger.

Once you are removed from the scene, you could examine closely whether or not her input has merit. If it does, prepare an amends to her which includes your understanding of the defects of character which are generating your irresponsible behavior. Prepare a plan for what you are going to change to ensure that you will honor your commitments. Present the plan to her and ask for her forgiveness. The actions you take to claim responsibility for your behavior will bring you great rewards.

The monthly email Counseling Services Online through our internet counseling service is to designed to provide clients with an unlimited access to therapeutic input. You will be permitted to send an unlimited number of email inquiries or items to be addressed. Responses Counseling Services Online submissions will be returned to you within 48 hours of receipt.  

Individual Instant Messenger Session

Instant Messenger Counseling Services Online sessions are easy arrange. We are able to utilize AOL Instant Messenger and Windows Messenger programs. Contact us for a session and we will let you know what screen name you can arrange to accept from us. 

Internet Counseling Assessment for Existing Clients

• Contact us and outline the problem you would like to discuss and we will let you know if internet counseling is an appropriate way to go. If it is not an acceptable therapeutic approach to the problem, we will suggest other approaches.
• If Online Counseling is an appropriate match for the issue you want help with, we will set up an account for you or your family following an initial phone assessment.
• The rate for the initial phone assessment will be $90 and charges for the call will be your responsibility. You will be billed for the assessment fee by mail following an agreement to continue into internet counseling. If you are not interested in proceeding, you will not be charged the assessment fee. Your only cost will be that of the phone call.

Online Couneling Services for New Clients

• Follow the same procedures as existing clients but will be asked to complete a questionnaire to obtain background information which we will email to your address.
• If we agree to proceed, you will be asked to pay for internet counseling services in advance of the session or response to your email inquiries unless other arrangements have been made. Fee information can be reviewed at the Fees for Service page.
• When arranging for your confidential email account, we will develop passwords for you to use to authenticate your inquiry and every effort will be made to conceal your identity if you request to increase your privacy protection.
• You will be free to terminate your Online Counseling Services at any time and overpayments, if any, will be promptly returned to you.
• We expect that email inquires focus on one issue or problem only. If your problem has numerous focal points we will create an overview of how the interconnecting problems could be addressed. This might require multiple email inquires and responses. If you have arranged for a monthly fee, your inquires will be unlimited. You can also arrange, at a reduced rate, for a series of email sessions that are paid for in advance.
