- Why Must They Suffer So Long: An Introduction to Therapeutic Intervention – Elaine M. Leadem & John V. Leadem
The workshop challenged the notion that an addicted person can not be helped until they hit “rock bottom” and proposed a model for raising the bottom that the sexually addicted person must hit before he or she can establish a firm recovery. The model addresses the sexually addicted person who has yet to identify the true nature of their malady as well as the addict who is struggling with chronic relapse. The workshops goal was be to enhance the participant’s arsenal of therapeutic tools with an introduction to dynamics of a therapeutic intervention.
