Many will look around at the wreckage of addiction with the numb confusion and lack of clear direction that the survivors of a tornado-torn town face the morning after the winds have stopped.  The first three of the Twelve Steps stops the destructive forces of addiction; the Fourth Step provides the opportunity to determine what will need to be rebuilt.

This guide through the Fourth Step is designed to:

• provide inspiration to help the reader move through the fear and doubt often associated with this Step
• help identify and overcome the obstacles to successfully complete an inventory
• demystify the inventory process with the introduction of four simple ingredients for completing an inventory
