The Sexual Addiction Screening Test (SAST-2) developed by Dr. Patrick Carnes, author of Out of the Shadows and Facing the Shadows, is a self assessment tool that can help evaluate the likelihood that a person is suffering with a sexual addiction. This tool was made available to this site from Dr. Patrick Carnes and can be found on his website at www.recoveryzone.com.
The tool is in a pdf format and when you click on the link below you will be able to view the file. In order to score your results please read the explanation that follows.
Scoring:
- If you answered “yes” 7 or more times in questions 1-20 then you fit the profile of many individuals who have taken this assessment and are sexually addicted.
- Questions 21-45 help to further clarify the way in which your sexual problem manifests itself.
