LCCS is proud to offer a women only therapy group as part of our ongoing repertoire of group therapy options. The group meets in our Toms River location each Monday from 11:00am – 12:30pm. It is co-facilitated by Elaine Leadem, LCSW and Maria Hennigan, LCSW. The cost for this group is $65.00 per session with a month by month option of $240.00 per four sessions (which results in each group session costing $60.00).
This is an open treatment group. Current LCCS clients as well as new clients are all welcome to join this group. Non LCCS client can join this group following an initial evaluation by either Maria or Elaine.
The group is designed for women who are currently active in a 12-step oriented recovery model such as face to face meetings, telephone conference meetings, web based meetings, or self guided study. Potential members also need to be willing to develop female to female recovery support network between group therapy sessions. The group focus is dedicated towards the development and maintenance of skills for:
- Increasing intimate communication
- Promoting healthy social and emotional boundaries
- Using the principles of recovery in all areas of your life
- Coping with potentially oppressive relationships
- Expanding ways of dealing with parenting challenges
- Helping your romantic partner to risk becoming more vulnerable
- Enhancing your ability to be of service to others
