Motivational Interviewing & Relapse Prevention

LCCS’s groundbreaking proprietary model for addiction relapse prevention, An Ounce of Prevention: A Course in Relapse Prevention©,  is currently being used in a variety of different treatment modalities in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. In this presentation, NCADD of Middlesex County team up with the co-authors of this program, John and Shawn Leadem, to train clinicians on how to move beyond the traditional application of Motivational Interviewing as a tool for dealing with resistance. This relapse prevention course will be used to motivate and illicit measurable and lasting change for your patients who are in recovery.

This training offers a unique experience for participants to learn how to expertly teach their addicted and co-addicted clients specific and measurable ways to identify and intervene on the predictable symptoms of the relapse process. This method finally provides addicted patients in treatment much needed hope for a recovery process that has until now been largely seen as completely unpredictable. The recovery journey now comes with much more motivation to make personal changes than the old-school tough love threat of all the harm that will come if they do not…
