2. Help candidates to effectively integrate the Twelve Steps into the psychotherapeutic treatment of addiction for both the addict and his or her significant others
   • Read: Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions[3] (Pages 14 through 125) and prepare questions for review and discussion
3. Teach candidates how to guide their clients in the development of a highly individualized addiction relapse prevention plan
   • Three Hour AOOP Interactive PowerPoint Introductory Training based on An Ounce of Prevention: A Course in Relapse Prevention.[4]
   • Read core content on pages throughout the book as requested by the instructor and prepare questions for review and discussion
   • Expand on conceptual frame and implementation strategies where needed
4. Promote an introductory understanding of the treatment of traumatic injuries and the impact those injuries might have on the successful treatment of addictive disorders
   • Introduce Traumatic Oppression Recovery KitÓ (TORK)[5]
   • Review Threat Profile framework from TORK and samples and prepare questions for discussion
   • Review First Aid Kit framework from TORK and samples and prepare questions for discussion
5. Provide a comprehensive overview of a seasoned model for working with couples whose relationships are injured by an addictive disorder
   • Read: Awakening to Your Soul Mate: A Decision to Be IN Love^Ó[6] and prepare questions for review and discussion
   • Read: One in the Spirit: A Meditation Course for Recovering Couples^Ó[7] – select one week of meditations and prepare questions for review and discussion, complete Weekend Workshop for each partner in a committed relationship from a composit couple determined by the instructor for review and discussion.
6. Provide a comprehensive overview to a unique model for conducting addiction related therapeutic intervention in which everyone in the system has the opportunity to received care rather than merely treating the identified addicted person.
   • Read: Raising the Bottoms of Sex Addicted Clients: A Unique Intervention Model^Ó [8] and prepare questions for review and discussion
